Before the crew arrives

Unlock gates, move cars and outdoor furniture, and tell the crew about steep ground, bulkheads or decks below the gutter line. Photos of the back of the house, especially on the water side, help the crew plan the right ladders and time on site.

After the cleaning

Walk around the house during the next heavy rain and watch the downspouts. Water should come out of each one, not over the gutter edge. If any still overflow, tell the crew. A downspout may need flushing or a section of gutter may need adjusting, which is a separate repair that you can discuss with them.
